Why Online Training Courses? 10 Simple Negative Facts Of Student Experience

Submitted by: Maria Zahara Ang

Ever wonder why students and professionals consider online training courses (elearning courses) nowadays? Aside from being able to manage your time and allowance, here is a list of some annoying simple facts that a normal student may experience when going to schools or universities:

FACT No. 1: You spent an amount of $ for your fare and traveled X number of hours going to the university and you end up seeing a note on the blackboard? Read pages 20-50. Exam on Tuesday. Yeah, you didn t eat your breakfast or missed your gimmick last night just to catch the early morning class.

FACT No. 2: You re not in the mood to study so everything that goes inside your right ear, exits the left. How can you pass the quizzes?!

FACT No. 3: You have this question in mind and the minute you raise your hand to blurt it out, the bell rings. Oh, and did I mention that you ve been thinking about this question since last night?

FACT No. 4: You finally decided to email your instructor to ask or clarify something and you waited for another x number of days (not hours) before you get the answer. Of course you can t blame them coz you re not the only student he has or you re not the priority to get back to ASAP.

FACT No. 5: You have this irritating classmate or group of students that gets to your nerve and you have no choice but to see them in a class or two.

FACT No. 6: You re not able to keep track of your notes and other materials from your professor. Yeah and you need to ask someone Hey, can I barrow your notes?

FACT No. 7: You need to run for something and yet you re tied to this class schedule. You ll end up with no concentration at all.

FACT No. 8: You are fully convinced that your thoughts were correct and were more appropriate than what your instructor said but you just got a nod. Students are human and they need some spirit uplifting to boost their confidence on their ideas and thoughts. And it s a fact that some professors are not kind enough to praise their students.

FACT No. 9: Fact No. 8 is one of the many reasons why some students bite their tongue instead of being vocal with their ideas in-class. You don t want to be embarrassed in a number of classmates, do you, especially if your professor did not agree with your points?

FACT No. 10: Your class schedule has slack time, meaning you need to wait for 3hours before your next class. And you can t travel back home or have no place to stay during your vacant hours. Did I tell you that you were late on your first class so you have more than 3 hours of waiting time?

Although students can choose their own class schedules, online training courses are more flexible. You can do self-study courses on your own schedule and at your own pace, allowing you to get professional and vocational career training that works.

Online training courses also have downsides. One example is having this long time dream career but is not yet offered by elearning companies. Or you miss the live discussions between instructor and students.

These are just simple facts from my college experience which I think everyone can relate.
